A BURGLARY from a blind man’s flat, vandalism to vehicles and a power tool theft feature in this week’s Okehampton area crimes.
• POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two men broke into a blind man’s flat and stole a bass guitar worth £200.
The aggravated burglary at the man’s home in Red Lion Yard, Okehampton, happened between 9.25am and 9.30am on October 21. It was reported that the men had let themselves into the property. CR/091458/17.
• Power tools worth £1,200 were stolen from a silver Ford Transit van parked insecurely at Moyses Meadow, Okehampton, between October 17 at 6pm and October 18 at 7am. CR/091749/17.
• A green Land Rover Discovery parked secure and unattended at the car park at Halwill Junction between 7.30pm and 11.15pm on October 23. Both rear tyres were slashed and a key was used to scratch most of the offside of the vehicle.
• A red Mini, parked on Crediton Road, Okehampton, had its rear windscreen wiper damaged and screen wash pipe ripped off between 9pm on October 21 and 10am on October 22. CR/091558/17.
