POLICE officers from Tavistock’s Response Team C conducted speed checks in several locations in the area on Wednesday, August 22 — resulting in numerous warnings issued to drivers.

Locations visited by police included Lamerton, Whitchurch Road and Plymouth Road in Tavistock.

Around 30 warnings were issued to drivers for excessive speed, one ticket issued for 50mph in a 30mph area.

Two cannabis warnings were issued as a result of searches during vehicle stops.
