Commuters using the A30 westbound route were affected this morning as the carriageway became partially blocked at approximately 8:30am due to a multi-vehicle accident between Whiddon Down and Okehampton.

Queues formed after one lane was closed to allow police to clear the accident.

Police later reported at 11:11am that the accident had been cleared and traffic was easing.
