CALSTOCK Arts has an interesting performance taking place tomorrow (Friday), which is quite different from their more usual mix of comedy, music and the spoken word, Cscape is a dance theatre company.

The company has earned an excellent reputation in the 12 years of its existence for warm, witty and accessible shows. Recently this has led to them being appointed as the resident company at the major venue of the Hall for Cornwall in Truro.

C-scape is coming to Calstock with Taste which is a delicious romp of a show inspired by the tapestries of Grayson Perry and relishing our national obsession with social class and the cultural extremities of food, fashion and style.

This show is a blend of theatre, dance, writing and music, brought to you by choreographers Sally Knight (Cscape, Kneehigh) and Neil Paris (Fabulous Beast), and written by Murray Lachlan Young (many appearances on BBC Radio 3 and 4).

Taste weaves its way through the personal idiosyncrasies of a bundle of characters on a hilarious journey that will grab your attention and leave you highly entertained. As refreshing as a nice hot cup of tea!

Audience feedback from some of Cscape’s performances have included descriptions such as ‘thought provoking’, ‘relevant’, ‘brilliant’ and ‘unusual’.

Go along to Calstock Arts to see if you agree.
