Cheriton Fitzpaine 3
Chagford Reserves 4
CHAGFORD Reserves went one better than their opening match of last season, coming home with all three points despite falling behind as early as the first minute.
Andrew Davis then fired in a well struck equaliser, only for the Cherries to restore their lead soon after. A few minutes before the break, Adrian Harvey and Simon Ralph combined well for the latter to notch Chagford's second.
From the start of the second half, Chagford took the match by the scruff of the neck and soon swept into a two goal advantage through Davis and Rob Thorn.
Looking comfortably in control, Chagford were disappointed to concede a late third to their hosts but there was no real threat of Cheriton completing a come-back.
Man of the match was Chagford's James Licence.
Chagford Reserves are away to Bow AAC on Wednesday, August 31, kick-off 6.30pm kick-off. Chagford firsts in division one visit Sidbury United on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
