NORTH TAWTON-based Taw Valley Creamery has scooped gold at this year's Cheshire County Show, held recently.
The creamery won the gold prize in the President's Choice category.
The creamery, which produces a full range of Cheddar, Red Leicester and Double Gloucester, was awarded one gold prize in the Single Double Gloucester category and another gold prize in the Single Speciality Hard Cheese category.
The strong set of results delighted the chief executive of Milk Link, Neil Kennedy, who said: 'Our expert cheese makers at Taw Valley deserve this recognition for their flair, dedication and skills which deliver the really exceptional taste and quality of our products.
'Being awarded gold prize in the President's Choice category at the Cheshire County Show is an acknowledgment of the excellence of our Taw Valley Creamery, and we hope to continue to build on our success throughout the season.'
Milk Link produces a range of branded cheeses and butters, including Tickler, a fabulous extra-mature Cheddar produced in the heart of Devon.
The company also manufactures more than 20 varieties of Cheddars, blue Stiltons and British regional cheeses for the retail, food service and ingredients sectors.
