SOUTH Tawton Primary School's parents, teachers and friends' association is thanking local businesses who supported their Christmas fundraising efforts.

The PTFA group put out an appeal for products to fill Christmas hampers as prizes in their annual Christmas raffle.

As well as receiving generous donations from the parent body, they also received donations from a number of companies.

Rebecca Watts, PTFA treasurer, said: 'I would like to say a big thank you from the PTFA.

'We would like to thank everyone who donated raffle prizes and hamper items for our Christmas raffle, and bought tickets.'

The PTFA expressed thanks to Endacott's Bakery, the Taw River Inn, The Stores in South Zeal, Sticklepath Stores, Farmer Luxton's, Mole Avon, Heavenly, The White Hart Hotel in Okehampton, and the Co-operative in Okehampton.

The PTFA raised £210 through the raffle.
