ST Mary's Church in Throwleigh will bounce to the sound of jazz from the 1920s and 1930s next week.

The Friends of Throwleigh Church welcome back Spats Langham's Hot Fingers for an evening of jazz and hot music from the '20s and '30s. The band explore the golden age of jazz of the 1920s through to the early days of sophisticated 1930s swing.

Although a trio, Spats Langham, Malcolm Sked and Danny Blyth count guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, ukelele, clarinet, tuba and more among their instruments.

The concerts starts at 7.30pm in the church on Friday, July 19. Tickets are £10 for adults, £6 for under 17 to include wine and canapés. Tickets are available from Michael Paget on 01647 231213 or Dawn Hatton on 01647 231051.
