TICKETS for the 2011 Devon Festival of Remembrance and places on a coach to the event on Thursday November 10 are still available.
Taking place at Exeter University's Great Hall, the theme is the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion's formation after the first world war.
One of the dignitaries attending will be the High Sheriff of Devon, the Hon Sarah Lopes, the granddaughter of one of the legion's founders, Field Marshal Earl Haig.
Starting at 7pm, the festival will feature the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines of the Commando Training Centre Lympstone and the Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir.
A coach will leave Fore Street, Okehampton, at 5.30pm on the day to transport attendees to Exeter. The fare will be £2 for Royal British Legion members and £7 for non-members.
