KIDS flocked to Roadford Lake on July 27 to help South West Lakes Trust countryside manager Neil Reeves pond dip and identify over 20 species of insects, including an impressive Water Scorpion, on a walk to the sundial.
Parents and kids learned many new facts on the bug hunt. Having caught some great mini beasts in the lake, everyone stomped through the woodland back to base at Lakeside where they crafted the critters they had just spotted.
Caterpillars, butterflies, worms, ladybirds and leaches all made an appearance and found good homes.
