NORTH Tawton-based Taw Valley Creamery is celebrating after another outstanding performance at the Royal Highland Show.
The creamery added four awards to its trophy cabinet, including two silver and two bronze. Arla Foods' creameries came away with four gold, eleven silver and eight bronze awards at the show, as well as the Champion Butter award.
The Arla Foods' creamery took silver for its Tickler brand of extra mature Cheddar and for its Red Leicester in the speciality hard cheese category. Bronzes were awarded to its mild and extra mature cheddars.
Brian Kerr, site manager at the creamery, said: 'We're thrilled that our cheeses have won even more awards this month. After winning nine awards at the Cheshire Show, to go on and pick up a further four at the recent Royal Highland Show, it fantastic.
'Our cheese makers are dedicated to producing cheeses that are of the highest quality and to have this recognised with these awards makes all the hard work worthwhile.'
