THE Taw Valley Creamery won a top award at the recent Frome Cheese Show by achieving the highest number of overall points at the show — the creamery was awarded 'champion' status after scooping six gold, five silver and four bronze awards.
The North Tawton creamery won gold for its mild Cheddar, medium Cheddar, Double Gloucester, Red Leicester, Householder's Choice and best children's cheese. The creamery was also declared champion in the Champion Territorials, which recognises the its strong position in the regional cheese sector.
The creamery is owned by The Cheese Company, and is part of Milk Link.
