Chagford v Plymstock
CHAGFORD had a poor day in the field, dropping opening Wood twice, once while he was still on nought. Wood then carried on in aggresive fashion playing shots all round the wicket off all the Chagford attack before he was dismissed by Lammonby for exactly 100.
The Plymstock first wicket fell at 32 but then Wood and Hocken took the score to 163 in a stand of 131 before Hockin was caught and bowled by Jerry Christophers for 34.
Contributions of 34 by Richards (34) and Coltham 43 not out and extras of 44 enabled Plymstock to reach 297-8 in their allotted 46 overs.
Del Lammonby with 4-78 and Billy Searle 2-68 were the principal wicket takers.
In reply nine of the Chagford reached double figures but no one was able to progress to a substantial although Lammonby (29), in fine form, was unlucky to be given out lbw when he edged it onto to his pad.
Billy Searle top scored with 34 and there wre other contributions from Christophers (22) Matt Bowes (24) but all to no avail as Chagford were all out for 194.
This gave top of the table Plymstock victory by 103 runs. Plymstock skipper Dave Orchard was outstanding with the ball taking 6 for 44 in 11.1 overs with support from Thomas 2-54.
Plymstock won by 103 runs. Plymstock 20 pts Chagford 8pts.
