PRIMARY schools from Bere Alston, North Tawton, Chagford, Lamerton, Okehampton, Horrabridge, Whitchurch and Hatherleigh desended on Okehampton College and took part in the West Devon Primary Schools netball finals.
The games, played earlier this month, were to decide who would represent West Devon in the county finals on March 1.
Bere Alston won their pool comfortably, beating Chagford, North Tawton and Lamerton. Second placed team Chagford joined them in the semi-finals.
Okehampton and Whitchurch both scored five points in their pool after drawing their game, with Okehampton gaining the top place through having scored more goals.
Okehampton played Chagford and Whitchurch took on Bere Alston in the semi-finals with the final resulting in another Okehampton v Whitchurch match, which Okehampton won 4-2.
Stuart Lord of OCRA thanked the officials, some of them young leaders from Okehampton College, who performed their duties to a very high standard and ensured the smooth running of the event.
