A LIFTON resident completed a gruelling cycle challenge recently in a bid to raise money for funds to build the planned Lifton Community Centre.
Kevin Marshall (pictured right) completed the Prudential Ride London — Surrey 100 and has raised £581 to date for the planned community centre, on a bike he had to purchase ten days before, due to him having worn out his original one during training.
It was perfect weather for the 25,000 people taking part. Unfortunately he was held up on the course for approximately one and a half hours due to a cycling incident and therefore his official completion time was just under seven hours.
Kevin said: ‘I enjoyed it so much that I want to do it again next year.’
Anyone wishing to donate towards the ride can do so directly through Kevin or via www.justgiving.com/Kevin-Marshall5
