Members of Lewdown Young Farmers Club raised £820 for the charity Brain Tumour Research with a Christmas tree collection on Sunday, January 9.
Lots of members helped to get them all collected.
Organiser Becky Dennis said: ‘We collected from all over the area, from North Tawton, Hatherleigh, Holsworthy and Launceston back to the more local areas, Lifton, Bridestowe, Bratton Clovelly and Okehampton.
‘We were absolutely astounded by the support we had as this was the first time we have done this event and in total we collected over 100 trees, raising £820 for brain tumour research which is amazing for a couple of hours’ work!
‘We gave the trees to two local goat farms who I’ve heard are absolutely loving them! A massive thanks to the members who helped collect them all and to those who donated their trees and helped us raise a fantastic amount for charity.’
