The body of a man was located in the Moretonhampstead area on Saturday, March 1.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
Formal identification is due to take place.
The family of Matthew Welham, 36, from Exeter, who was reported missing on Thursday, February 20, have been made aware.
