THERE was plenty of medieval merriment at Hatherleigh Primary School last Friday night for a banquet — complete with hog roast and court jester.

Entertainment was provided by the South Devon Players, creators of the Arthurian feature film Mordred!

The event was to help raise money to improve the school’s woodland area, with the intention for children to have lessons outside and provide a use for the community.

Last year’s fundraiser was a fine dining event.
