TIARAS and eye patches were aplenty at North Tawton Primary School’s Pirate and Princess Day, which was held to raise money for the school’s garden.
Pupils and staff donned their finest costumes to take part in the event, which raised in excess of £500.
Throughout the day the children enjoyed plenty of fun activities, including a balloon release, which saw an array of colourful balloons float up into the sky.
The money raised will be used to buy tables for the school’s outdoor Rainbow Garden, which was originally built ten years ago as a memorial garden for two sibling students, Zak and Chloe, who sadly died.
‘The day was a fitting tribute to Zak and Chloe,’ said Marina Cassels, a teaching assistant who organised the event.
