OKEHAMPTON paid its respects to those lost at war during its annual remembrance parade on Sunday.
The parade was led by the Okehampton branch of the Royal British Legion from Fore Street up to the town’s war memorial at All Saints Parish Church. Among the other organisations involved were the town’s cadet troops, the Scouts, Brownies and emergency services.
There was a short service of remembrance at the war memorial in the churchyard, followed by two minutes’ silence and the laying of the wreaths. A church service then followed.
