OKEHAMPTON Rotary Club has become one of the major sponsors for Okehampton Rugby Club’s forthcoming youth teams’ tour to the Bournemouth area over Easter.

The Rotary Club have donated £800 which will be used to cover the cost of transporting the three teams over to Hampshire and to the match venues.

The hope is that not only will the tour provide the young players with valuable match experience, it will also build team spirit and offer them the opportunity to bring back some new silverware.

He was assured by the players they are looking forward to the opportunities the tour presents with the aim of demonstrating how strong the sport thrives in Okehampton!
