Okehampton U16s 22
Plymstock U16s 8
WITH the eventual thaw of the snow Okehampton U16s were able to welcome Plymstock for their long awaiting cup tie.
Not having played each other for a number of seasons, Plymstock were an unknown entity. The visitors proved to be a capable team and both sides were evenly matched.
Despite some good attacking by both teams, the score remained 0-0 until 20 mins into the first half when Oke's Will Copp scored a try converted by Liam Wilkins. Plymstock then replied with a try of their own.
The first half finished with Will scoring his second try to give Oke a 12-5 lead.
The second half started again with good pressure by both teams and, after an offside by Okehampton in front of the posts, Plymstock scored a penalty to bring the score to 12-8.
The match could have gone either way until Will scored his third try.
Okehampton's rucking was good, pushing Plymstock off the ball. With some good attacking play by Dean Folland and Josh Bush, Luke Dennis crossed the line to give a final score of 22-8.
