Dartmoor Rangers have asked members of the public that if there is snow on Dartmoor this weekend and they are planning to go up to the moors to enjoy it, to make sure they park sensibly and do not block the roads or trespass into private fields to go sledging.

A spokesperson said: ’The locals who live and work on Dartmoor still need to get through, including the farmers who will need to take extra feed up for the livestock on the moors.

’A little bit of thought can help to ensure that EVERYBODY can enjoy a wintry Dartmoor - visitors and locals alike. Thank you.’
