A COUPLE from Sheepwash who used Glastonbury Festival to promote their fundraising plight were at Okehampton Show raising funds for their cause.
Jenson, aged two, was diagnosed with spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy, at six months old. Shortly after he turned one year old he was also diagnosed with epilepsy.
The couple are aiming to raise £65,000 so Jenson can travel to America and have a selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) operation. The procedure aims to reduce spasms caused by Jenson's condition. The money will also be put toward physiotherapy and special equipment to help get him on his feet following the operation.
The couple went to the Glastonbury Festival in June. Their Devon flag, with Sheepwash emblazoned on it, and a flag promoting the fundraising for Jenson, was prominent throughout BBC coverage of the festival.
