THE Okehampton branch of the Devonshire Association is holding its last event for 2011 today (November 17).
Dr Tom Greeves will give a presentation on East Ockment Farm, one of Dartmoor's most isolated farms.
Dr Greeves specialises in Dartmoor's history and archaeology, and has carried out detailed studies on several of the moorland's farms.
The meeting takes place at the Ockment Centre from 3.30pm. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
During the autumn the branch received talks on Calstock viaduct and the history of Hatherleigh.
The 2012 programme begins on January 18 when Paul Rendell will be discussing his book 'Okehampton Through Time', which was published earlier this year.
