ARE we missing an opportunity for cut price energy? It is understood that many households are trapped in fuel poverty and so I read with some interest that the Cornwall Together Group have just launched an energy collective buying scheme the aim of which is to negotiate with the energy companies better prices for gas and electricity.
It was the Eden Project who initially came up with the idea, which has the backing of Cornwall Council, the NHS and Community Energy Plus.
At a time of ever increasing energy prices can we expect that Devon County Council consider a similar energy collective buying system thus saving householders money on their household bill?
