NORTH Tawton’s Taw Valley Creamery has received international recognition for its quality cheeses after winning 18 awards and four trophies at the Nantwich International Cheese Show in July.
The creamery was awarded the acclaimed M&S Trophy for best English Cheddar, the CHR Hansen Double Gloucester Trophy, the Coombe Castle international award for best export cheese and the GEA Award for the best English cheese alongside an impressive nine gold, three silver, five bronze and one highly commended award.
Brian Kerr, site manager at the Taw Valley Creamery, said: ‘The Nantwich Show’s International Cheese Awards are renowned for showcasing cheeses of an exceptional standard, so to have received 22 accolades is a fantastic result for us.
‘The hard work of our cheesemakers has allowed the creamery to achieve these outstanding results and we’re thrilled to have their efforts recognised at such a prestigious event.’
