With their school team football kit beginning to show its age, four boys from Lew Trenchard Primary School decided to do something about it.

Sam, Jonty, Ben and Harry organised a sponsored cycle ride from Tavistock to Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park, a distance of 23 miles.

The boys completed the ride without a hitch and with generous assistance from the community and local businesses raised a fantastic £400, enabling the purchase of new kit for the school.

Lew Trenchard School would like to thank S H Joinery, The Blue Lion, staff at the school and everyone who sponsored the cycle.
