ST BONIFACE Roman Catholic Church in Okehampton saw around 60 people attend a special service to celebrate Women's World Day of Prayer last week.
Women's World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement of informed prayer and prayerful action organised and led by Christian women on the first Friday in March each year.
The service is written by a different country each year and that country then becomes the focus of the world's prayers on the day itself.
All denominations in the town were represented at the service.
The theme was 'I was a stranger and you welcomed me'.
The address was given by Helen Attallah.
