CHAGFORD Bowling Club’s members were delighted when at their annual dinner, club captain Martin Philpott, was presented with no less than six of the club’s nine competition cups. This is a club record for the number of cups won by one person as the winner, or co-winner of them, in a single season.

Martin is now the club champion for 2016/17. After winning so many cups, Martin was also presented with a tin of silver polish!

As the new captain, Martin not only captains Chagford BC’s teams for the many friendly matches during the season, but is now arranging indoor bowling matches for club members during the winter months.
