SOUTH Tawton Primary School were the victorious team at the recent West Devon Cyclo Cross competition, followed closely by the one from Okehampton primary.

On December 3, nine schools took part in the competition at Okehampton College, which is part of the Devon Schools' Games programme. Many of the winning team's members take part in the school's bike club.

Okehampton School's A team took second place, with their B team taking seventh spot.

South Tawton Primary will now represent West Devon in the county final next year.
