Ashburton v Bridestowe
THE visitors Bridestowe started well through James Ewen (42) and Mark Fogerty (32) who put on 64 either side of a few rain delays.
The game was reduced first to 36 and then 34 overs, meaning the away side needed to get on with things. They did just that through Jack Hatton (36), Ryan Dennis (42) and Pat Ewen (24) who all went at well over a run a ball.
The Bridestowe innings fell away towards the end, finishing on 211 all out with Matt Churchill (4-48) and Dom Furman (3-39) getting most of the wickets.
Furman also picked up a hat-trick, bowling Matt Dennis and Chris Lavis, with Alex Jopling adjudged lbw.
Ashburton never really looked in the chase, with Chris Lavis (2-23) removing both openers cheaply.
Captain Ashley Berry (23) was the only top order batsman to get going, and when he was out to Jopling (3-27), the game was all but over.
Chris Yeo (35 not out) gave the score some respectability with some lusty blows towards the end. Matt Dennis (4-18) mopped up the tail with Ashburton being dismissed for 131.
