WHILE the home side won this encounter by a seemingly large margin — 66 runs — this was largely down to the efforts of one man, Tinotenda Mutombodzi, who scored a magnificent 109, almost half the Hatherleigh total of 227 runs.

The only other home batsmen to make meaningful contributions were Robert Fishleigh (29) and Charlie Neilson (27 not out).

Thanks to some fine bowling by Sean Letheren (4-19), bottom of the table Abbotskerswell never looked likely to challenge the score of the home side, with only Samuel Carpenter (36no) making a sizeable contribution.

Hatherleigh (19 points) beat Abbotskerswell (8 points) by 66 runs.
