HATHERLEIGH Ladies' Cricket team finished their league games on Sunday in fine style at Cornwood with a comprehensive win by 116 runs.
Batting first Hatherleigh was given a strong start by Frances Lausen and Catherine Williams before Catherine was run out just after she had scored 50.
Clara Nielson (47 not out) then joined Frances and the tempo increased as 104 runs were scored off the last ten overs and Hatherleigh ended on 229 for one off 35 overs.
Frances began playing for Hatherleigh in 2003 when she was nine years-old and her innings of 104 not out was her first century for Hatherleigh Ladies.
In reply, Cornwood soon began to lose wickets regularly and were all out for 113.
The wickets were shared around with Hannah Franklin (3-11), Eloise Maxa (2-12), Kirsty Tidball (2-15) and Clara Nielson, Chloe Rose and Briony Harris taking a wicket a piece.
