TAVISTOCK U10s put up an excellent showing when competing in the North Cornwall Cup football tournament.
The boys put in a determined effort in the round stages. Despite not finding their best form, they were able to get through to the quarter finals.
A change of positions brought a revitalised Tavistock team to face Barnstaple in the quarter finals. A comfortable 2-0 victory with goals from Luke Tyler and George McLaughlin, took them through to the semis.
A more difficult match against SB Frankfurt followed with a 1-1 draw (goal from Owen Hicks), resulting in a nail biting penalty shoot out. Goalkeeper Charlie Brownlow made some superb saves and put the team through to the final.
However, in a tough final game the Tavistock boys were narrowly defeated 1-0 by Callington.
