HORRABRIDGE Rangers U10s followed up last year’s victory in The DJM Europa Cup by beating Map Juniors from Plymouth in the final of the DJM Champions Cup.

In a hard fought match, The Bridgers won the game with a single goal scored by Archie Davies. Some impressive football was played by both teams, with both goalkeepers pulling off some outstanding saves to keep their teams in the game. Jaiden Higgins in the Horrabridge goal made one particular stunning save late on to prevent the match going to penalties.

The squad of ten all played their role in winning some tight games in the early rounds to reach the final, which effectively now crowns them the best team for their age group in  Plymouth and the surrounding area.

Coach Paul Allen paid tribute to his assistant coaches - Jim Hunter, John Pascoe and Rich Downing - as well as the 10 boys: Guy Allen, Noah Bridle, Archie Davies, Josh Downing-Hewes, Jaiden Higgins, Sam Hunter, Reuben Pascoe, Frank Poynton-Duke, Archie Wall (captain) and Liam Wheeler.
