ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club members played in a three ball, two to count, Stableford competition.

The winners of division one were Simon Taylor, Frances Harbron and Pete Okopski with 80 points winning on the back nine from, in second Toby Gostling, James Weller and Lee Pengelly, also with 80 points; third place went to Alan Dunn, Alan Grimshaw and Adrian Tilley with 78pts.

Division two was won by Brett Lawson, Shane Monnox and Mark Bennett with an excellent 84 points; Stuart Brealy, Bill Tucker and Roger Grafton were second with 79pts and John Haley, Paul Douglas and Kevin Harding took third place with 77pts.

The ladies played a better ball competition with drawn partners.

The winners were Marcia Collett and Mary Keir with 44pts and in second place were Di Johnson and Bab Beaney with 42pts.
