WHITCHURCH Primary School hosted the West Devon Tri-Golf Tournament 2016 which was divided into two events.

The Super Six competition was for Year 5 and 6 pupils, three girls and three boys and involved playing golf holes in pairs. Whitchurch School won the event with Okehampton School runners-up.

Year 3 and 4 pupils took part in a golf skills competition with eight stations worth of points. The winners of this competition were the five girls and five boys of St Peter’s School closely followed by Whitchurch primary.

The sun shone on the event and a great afternoon was had by all.

The two winning teams will now be invited to take part in the Sainsbury School Games held in Exeter on June 29.
