OKEHAMPTON ladies were put under pressure from the off, with Caradon scoring in the first 20 minutes but the visitors did not let that deter them.

Jo Moppett for Oke made a superb run through the middle, going around Caradon defenders to score Oke’s first goal. The Oke defence of Abi Colton, player of the match Nicky Pedrick, Anna Speak and Sophie Whitely were put under pressure but thwarted several attempts on goal with some great saves from goalkeeper Alice Wiseman. Caradon’s second goal came from a short corner despite good defending from Sophie Whiteley on the line.

Okehampton started the second half strong with Jess Medland holding the middle and passing out to the wings creating great runs for Kim Davey and Molly Marvin, with some good crosses into Emily Rowland and Jo Moppett.

Oke’s second goal came from a short corner. A rebound of the keeper straight to Kim Davey, who took full advantage and scored. Caradon hit back putting Oke under pressure to score quick goals to secure the win.
