OKEHAMPTON Flyers gymnasts competed at the South West regional trampoline and DMT qualifier in Bath recently.

Some of the young gymnasts achieved 8.7s and 8.8s in their grade and between them won 10 medals across the day.

Competing in a range of grades in trampoline and DMT, from club 3 to NDP5 grades, Okehampton Flyers showed excellent form in their routines and passes.

Okehampton Flyers’ head coach Vicki Pritchard said: ‘Well done to all of our gymnasts for their hard work and brilliant performances. Some gymnasts have only recently started trampolining, with others relatively new to competition already moving up by two to three grades in six months, so high scores such as 8.8s is a huge achievement.’

The club is now working towards the next South West regional qualifier and the national schools final in March.
