UNDER clear blue skies, Okehampton Golf Club welcomed no fewer than 25 different clubs and more than 40 teams to their Seniors Three Ball Open.
The overall winners were Graham Harding, Chris Goodman and Ron Copeland from Okehampton with 78 points.
Second with 75 points winning on the back nine were C Barnes, M Hales and C Coles (Churston Golf Club).
Best visitors were C Shaw, J Essery and D Jones with 75 (Downes Crediton Golf Club), second with 73 were J Clark, D Allott and I Wilson (Exminster Golf Club).
The best home team prize went to Mike Ingham, Jim Hibdidge and Dave Arney with 70.
On Saturday the inviting sunshine again brought out a large field to contest a four ball better ball medal for the Charles Pedrick Shield.
Winners of division one and the Charles Pedrick Shield with net 57 were Lloyd Chapman and Barry Down.
Second with net 58 were Mark Curtis and Chris Hurley and in third position with net 61 were Paul Skidmore and Richard Reid. Division two was won by Dave and Alan Lawson with net 60. Ricky Wooldridge and Chris Back were second with net 61 and third place went to Rod Milsom-Smith and Rob Jones with net 63.
