LAMERTON Pony Club’s talented riders kept a tight hold of the reins to win the three top places at North Cornwall’s Team Show-jumping competition at Tall Trees Arena, Camelford, Cornwall, on November 22.

Twenty one teams competed for the top honours. Lamerton’s young showjumpers displayed great team spirit and determination by jumping with skill and speed against the clock to carry off the first, second and third place rosettes. All 12 riders deserved their success.

In first place was the four-rider team of Thea Talling on Theo, Beth Down on Lilly, Heidi Littlejohns on Bramble and Frankie McKechnie on Nimo. In second were the team comprised of Heidi Littlejohns and Frankie McKechnie, both riding again this time on Ronnie and Bouncer, joined by Abby Kendall on Tiger Lilly and Pippy Shannon on Honey.

Riding to third place were Evie Talling on Pepper, Katrina Henwood on Miss Mole, Joanne Smith on Missy and Lucy Steven on Remus.
