OCRA hosted more of their popular multi-skills days for younger school children during a sunny early October. The aim of the fun-filled sessions is to improve balance, agility and coordination through games and activities and to give them a taste of different sports.
Year 2 children had football, fencing, long jump, vortex throwing, parachute games, running and an obstacle course. Year 3 also had rugby skills and badminton.
The weather could not have been better, with sun and warm temperatures at both sessions.
More than 500 children from Tavistock, St Peter’s, St Rumons, Mary Tavy and Brentor, Whitchurch, Gulworthy, Lamerton, Bere Alston, Horrabridge, Lady Modiford’s and St Andrew’s took part and many happy, smiley faces were seen, including their teachers and helpers!
