South Zeal Utd 4
Thorverton 1
SOUTH Zeal started well and went two up in the first 15 minutes.
Firstly striker Harley Cann latched onto a Stuart Entwistle through ball and scored off the keeper from a tight angle; five minutes later Redd Cann and Tom Reilly combined to put Scott Hooper through and his shot from another tight angle went in off the keeper.
The home side looked as if they would increse their lead but chances were missed and after 30 minutes Thorverton reduced the deficit when a cross from the right was headed home from the edge of the six yard box by a forwards.
The home side hung on and managed to get to half time still a goal up but a re-organisation at half time tipped the balance in the second half.
Although the visitors still had plenty of the ball South Zeal started to create chances again and went 3-1 up when Harley Cann was put through by Graham Soby and his cross was put away at the far post by Scott Hooper. With 10 minutes left Daniel Gibbs played Harley Cann in on the left and he outstripped the Thorverton defence and scored in the far corner to give South Zeal all three points.
