THE drama, excitement and sheer fun of disability football will all be kicking off in September at Tavistock College in September.
Local football club the Tavistock Specials are hosting the first Devon Ability counts fixture at Tavistock College on Sunday, September 20.
This fixture will see almost all the disability teams in the county play in their leagues — Plymouth Argyle, Exeter, Barnstaple, Torquay, Kingsbridge, Totnes, Tiverton's Twyford Spartons and more, including the Tavistock Specials.
Allen Lewis, one of the organisers, said: 'It will be an awesome sight!
'Howden's of Tavistock are kindly sponsoring the event and with help from Tavistock Lions we hope to really put on a good show!'
The Tavistock Specials FC are looking to increase the number of members, especially the children, as these are the future of disability football.
Allen added: 'We need dedicated people who would really enjoy football training with our wonderful members; it really is a joy to work with and be a part of our club. Particularly those who could be interested in becoming a disability football coach.'
