OKEHAMPTON and district table tennis league’s Bill Fogerty cup has been played for in the last few weeks.
In the semi-finals Tavistock narrowly beat Okehampton A 5-4 while Okehampton B beat Anchorage A by the same score.
Tavistock also beat the young Okehampton B team 8-1 to win the trophy.
Although Emily Haskell for Oke did well to beat Tavistock’s Peter Hicks and took a leg in the game against the other two players.
In the consulation cup semi-final between Anchorage A they had a walk over against Gunnislake, who could not raise a team.
In the other match Bridestowe beat Moretonhampstead 9-0 to reach the final. In the final Bridestowe went on to beat Anchorage A 8-1.
The league matches start the week commencing Monday, November 4. There are eight teams in each division. In division one:?Okehampton A, B and C, Tavistock, Bridestowe, Horrabridge A, North Wyke and Milton Abbot A.
In division two: Anchorage A and B, Horrabridge B, Moretonhampstead, Gunnislake, Milton Abbot B and Okehampton D and E.
